UnitReady Privacy Policy

Effective Date: August 24, 2026
Last Updated: August 24, 2026

UnitReady respects your privacy and is committed to handling personal information responsibly. This Privacy Policy explains how UnitReady collects, uses, discloses, retains, and protects personal information when you visit tryunitready.com, use a UnitReady client portal or other online feature that links to this Policy, request or receive services, communicate with us, or otherwise interact with UnitReady.

In this Privacy Policy, “UnitReady,” “we,” “us,” and “our” mean the UnitReady legal entity identified in the Site footer or on the applicable estimate, proposal, work order, invoice, or other Service Order. “Site” means tryunitready.com and any UnitReady application, client portal, or online feature that links to this Policy. “Services” means UnitReady’s apartment-turnover, make-ready cleaning, junk-removal, hauling, moving or labor, light-repair, touch-up, and related services.

This Policy applies to Site visitors, prospective and current clients, property owners and managers, authorized account users, business contacts, vendors, and other individuals who interact with UnitReady. Separate notices or agreements may apply to job applicants, employees, independent contractors, background checks, or information UnitReady processes solely on behalf of a property-management client.

Privacy at a Glance

  • We collect information needed to provide quotes, schedule and perform Services, document job completion, process payments, communicate, secure accounts, and operate our business.

  • Job information may include property addresses, unit numbers, access instructions, before-and-after photographs, checklists, and information supplied by an authorized property representative.

  • We do not sell personal information for money.

  • We do not sell sensitive personal data or biometric data.

  • We do not use access codes, alarm instructions, payment information, or client-directed resident information for targeted advertising.

  • We may use analytics and advertising technologies that process online activity for targeted advertising. Where applicable, you may opt out through Your Privacy Choices at tryunitready.com/privacy-choices.

  • Depending on where you live and subject to legal exceptions, you may request access, correction, deletion, or a portable copy of your personal information and may opt out of certain uses.

1. Scope of This Policy

This Privacy Policy applies to personal information UnitReady controls for its own business purposes, including information collected through the Site, quote and booking forms, client accounts, service communications, job operations, payment and billing records, and marketing activities.

It does not apply to:

  • Information governed by a different privacy notice presented at collection;

  • A third-party website, platform, or service that has its own privacy policy;

  • Information that cannot reasonably be linked to an identified or identifiable individual, including properly deidentified or aggregated information; or

  • Personal information UnitReady processes solely as a service provider or processor for a client, as described in Section 2.

The Site and Services are intended for use in the United States. If you access the Site from another country, your information may be transferred to and processed in the United States, where privacy laws may differ from those in your country.

2. Information Processed for Property-Management Clients

Property owners, apartment communities, and property-management companies may give UnitReady information about units, residents, former residents, authorized contacts, occupancy, access, work orders, or items designated for removal. When UnitReady processes that information solely under the client’s instructions to provide contracted Services, the client generally determines why and how the information is processed, and UnitReady acts as its service provider or processor.

In that situation:

  • The client’s privacy policy or notice may govern the information;

  • The client is responsible for having lawful authority to provide the information and direct the Services;

  • UnitReady uses the information only to perform the Services, maintain security, comply with law, and satisfy its contractual obligations;

  • UnitReady does not use client-directed resident information for its own targeted advertising; and

  • A person seeking to exercise privacy rights concerning client-directed information should ordinarily contact the applicable property owner or manager.

If UnitReady receives a request concerning information controlled by a client, we may refer the request to that client and assist it as required by contract or law. Nothing in this Section limits UnitReady’s responsibility for information it independently controls, such as its own account, billing, security, and business records.

3. Personal Information We Collect

The information we collect depends on how you interact with us. We may collect the following categories.

A. Contact and Identity Information

This may include your name, business or organization, job title, email address, telephone number, mailing address, service address, preferred contact method, and relationship to a property or account.

C. Quote, Transaction, and Commercial Information

This may include service requests, estimates, proposals, accepted Service Orders, selected packages, requested dates, invoices, payment status, refunds, cancellations, account history, customer-support records, and information about Services purchased, considered, or performed.

D. Property and Service Information

This may include:

  • Property addresses, building and unit numbers, layouts, measurements, parking and loading information, and site rules;

  • Occupancy or vacancy status and the Client’s confirmation of authority;

  • Information an authorized client supplies about a resident, former resident, vendor, property contact, or other person in connection with a work order.

Clients should not provide sensitive resident records, government identifiers, medical information, financial records, or other information that is not reasonably necessary for the requested Services.

E. Payment and Billing Information

This may include billing name and address, payment method type, partial card details, payment token, transaction identifiers, tax information, and payment history. Full payment-card information is generally collected and processed by our payment processor rather than stored directly by UnitReady.

F. Communications and Content

This may include emails, text messages, portal messages, form submissions, chat messages, customer-support communications, reviews, survey responses, photographs, documents, and call recordings when we provide legally required notice or obtain consent.

G. Device, Internet, and Usage Information

This may include IP address, browser type, device type, operating system, device identifiers, cookie identifiers, referring page, pages viewed, links clicked, form interactions, session activity, approximate location inferred from IP address, and dates and times of access.

H. Location and Logistics Information

This may include a service address, delivery or disposal route information, crew arrival and departure records, and location information you choose to provide for scheduling, directions, or service verification. We will request device-based precise geolocation only when reasonably necessary and with permission where required.

I. Marketing and Preference Information

This may include communication preferences, newsletter or promotional choices, advertising interactions, campaign source, referral information, and whether you have opted out of marketing or targeted advertising.

J. Safety, Fraud, and Legal Information

This may include identity or authority verification, incident reports, insurance communications, disputed-charge records, evidence of fraud or misuse, legal claims, governmental requests, and information reasonably needed to protect people, property, accounts, or UnitReady.

K. Sensitive Personal Information

Depending on the interaction, some information may be considered sensitive under applicable law, such as precise geolocation, account credentials, financial-account information, or information contained in private communications. Access codes and alarm instructions may not be legally classified as “sensitive data” in every state, but UnitReady treats them as restricted operational information.

UnitReady does not intentionally collect biometric identifiers, use facial recognition to identify individuals in job photographs, or sell sensitive personal data or biometric data. We ask that you not provide information revealing health conditions, racial or ethnic origin, religious beliefs, citizenship or immigration status, sexuality, genetic information, or other sensitive traits unless it is strictly necessary, lawfully authorized, and specifically requested through an approved process.

4. Sources of Personal Information

We may collect personal information from:

  • You, including through forms, calls, texts, emails, portal activity, payments, surveys, and interactions with the Site or Services;

  • Your organization or an authorized client, such as a property owner, apartment community, management company, employer, account administrator, resident representative, or referral partner;

  • UnitReady personnel and service partners, including crews, subcontractors, dispatchers, support personnel, and specialists who document or perform Services;

  • Your browser or device, through cookies, pixels, log files, and similar technologies;

  • Service providers, such as payment processors, communications platforms, scheduling tools, fraud-prevention providers, analytics vendors, and advertising partners; and

  • Public and commercial sources, including public records, business websites, professional networks, property directories, referral sources, and commercial business-contact databases used for lawful business-to-business outreach.

We may combine information from these sources when permitted by law.

5. How We Use Personal Information

We seek to limit the personal information we collect and use to what is adequate, relevant, and reasonably necessary for the purposes described below.

  • Confirm authority, service locations, access, scope, and scheduling;

  • Fulfill other legal, regulatory, and contractual obligations.

With Your Consent or as Otherwise Disclosed

We may use information for another purpose when we explain that purpose at collection or obtain consent where required.

6. Automation and AI-Assisted Tools

UnitReady may use rules-based, analytical, or artificial-intelligence-assisted tools to help categorize inquiries, summarize communications, create preliminary estimates, route work, schedule crews, identify incomplete information, detect potential fraud or safety concerns, and assist authorized personnel.

Automated outputs may be incomplete or inaccurate and are subject to appropriate review before operational action. UnitReady does not use solely automated processing to make final decisions about eviction, tenant rights, property ownership, legal abandonment, disposal authority, or other decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects concerning an individual.

When a service provider supports an automated feature, UnitReady requires the provider to handle personal information under applicable contractual and security restrictions. We do not use client-directed resident information for unrelated targeted advertising.

7. How We Disclose Personal Information

We may disclose personal information to the following categories of recipients for the purposes described in this Policy.

A. Service Providers and Processors

These may include companies that provide website hosting, cloud storage, client-management software, scheduling, dispatch, communications, payment processing, invoicing, analytics, advertising, identity or authority verification, information security, customer support, document management, and professional services. These providers may use personal information only as permitted by their agreement with UnitReady and applicable law.

B. Crews, Subcontractors, and Operational Partners

We may provide employees, independent crews, subcontractors, haulers, specialists, disposal facilities, donation or recycling partners, equipment providers, and other operational partners with information reasonably necessary to perform the requested Services. We do not provide these recipients more access information or resident information than is reasonably necessary for their assigned work.

C. Client Organizations and Authorized Users

If you use the Services through an organization, we may disclose account, request, job, invoice, and communication information to authorized administrators or representatives of that organization. Your organization controls its own use of information it receives.

D. Advertising and Analytics Partners

We may allow analytics and advertising partners to collect or receive device identifiers, cookie identifiers, IP address, Site activity, approximate location, and advertising interactions through cookies, pixels, or similar technologies. These partners may use the information to measure Site use, attribute leads, limit repeated ads, and present or measure advertising based on activity over time and across websites or services.

This activity may be considered “targeted advertising,” “sharing,” or a “sale” under certain state privacy laws even when no money is exchanged. You may opt out as described in Sections 9 and 12.

We do not disclose access codes, alarm instructions, full payment-card information, private job photographs, or client-directed resident information to advertising partners for targeted advertising.

E. Professional Advisors and Insurers

We may disclose information to attorneys, accountants, auditors, insurers, claims administrators, financial institutions, and other professional advisors where reasonably necessary to obtain advice, manage risk, complete a transaction, or establish, exercise, or defend a claim.

F. Legal, Safety, and Compliance Recipients

We may disclose information to courts, law enforcement, regulators, governmental agencies, emergency responders, property owners, or other appropriate recipients when we reasonably believe disclosure is required by law or necessary to protect rights, safety, property, accounts, or the integrity of the Services.

G. Business Transactions

We may disclose or transfer information in connection with an actual or proposed merger, financing, acquisition, reorganization, bankruptcy, sale of assets, or transfer of all or part of the UnitReady business. The recipient may use the information subject to this Policy unless another legally sufficient notice is provided.

H. At Your Direction or With Consent

We may disclose information to a person or service you direct us to use or for another disclosed purpose with your consent.

8. Sale of Personal Information

UnitReady does not sell personal information for money and does not sell sensitive personal data or biometric data.

As explained in Section 7(D), certain advertising-cookie or pixel disclosures may be defined as a “sale” or “sharing” under some state laws. Where that definition applies, you may opt out through Your Privacy Choices at tryunitready.com/privacy-choices, through an applicable cookie-preference tool, or by contacting us as described in Section 12.

UnitReady does not knowingly sell or share for targeted advertising the personal information of anyone under 18.

9. Cookies and Similar Technologies

UnitReady and its service providers may use cookies, software development kits, pixels, local storage, tags, and similar technologies. The technologies used on the Site may include:

CategoryPurposeChoice

Strictly necessarySecurity, authentication, network management, form submission, payment flow, fraud prevention, and core Site functions.These cannot be disabled through our preference tool because the Site may not function without them.

Functional Remember settings, preferences, account choices, and optional Site features.Manage through Cookie Settings or your browser where available.

Analytics Understand visits, navigation, performance, errors, lead attribution, and how users interact with the Site. Manage through Cookie Settings or your browser where available.

Advertising Measure campaigns, build audiences, limit repeated ads, and support targeted advertising across websites or services. Opt out through Your Privacy Choices, Cookie Settings, a recognized opt-out signal, or partner controls.

Communications Support chat, appointment tools, call attribution, forms, and service messaging. Some features may be disabled through Cookie Settings; others operate only when you use the feature.

Your browser may allow you to block or delete cookies, but doing so can affect Site functionality. Choices are generally specific to the browser and device you use, so you may need to repeat them on each browser or device and after clearing cookies.

Global Privacy Control and Other Opt-Out Signals

Where required by applicable law, UnitReady will treat a legally recognized universal opt-out signal, such as Global Privacy Control, as a request to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information and targeted advertising for the browser or device that sends the signal. If you are signed in and the law requires us to associate the signal with your account, we will do so where technically feasible.

Because there is no universally accepted standard for all browser “Do Not Track” signals, the Site may not respond to signals other than a legally recognized universal opt-out mechanism.

10. Communications Choices

Email

You may unsubscribe from promotional emails using the link in the message. We may continue sending nonpromotional communications concerning quotes, appointments, active Services, payments, security, legal notices, or your relationship with UnitReady.

Text Messages

You may reply STOP to an eligible UnitReady text thread to stop further texts from that number. Message and data rates may apply. Stopping texts may limit time-sensitive appointment and access communications. Consent to automated marketing texts, if requested, is separate from consent to receive necessary service communications and is not a condition of purchasing Services.

Calls

You may ask not to receive marketing calls. UnitReady may still call when reasonably necessary to respond to your request, coordinate active Services, address safety or access, collect an amount due, or comply with law.

Advertising

You may opt out of targeted advertising through tryunitready.com/privacy-choices. Opting out does not eliminate all advertising; it limits advertising based on activity across nonaffiliated websites or services as required by applicable law.

11. Data Retention

UnitReady retains personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, including to provide Services, maintain business and financial records, support recurring client accounts, document completion, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, protect safety and security, satisfy insurance requirements, and comply with law.

Retention depends on the type of information and context. For example:

  • Quote and inquiry information is retained for a reasonable sales, follow-up, and recordkeeping period;

  • Service Orders, invoices, payment records, and core business records may be retained for the applicable tax, accounting, audit, contractual, and legal periods;

  • Job photographs and completion records are retained while reasonably needed for quality control, client history, warranty, insurance, dispute, and legal purposes;

  • Access codes and alarm instructions are restricted and retained only while reasonably needed for active or recurring authorized Services, security records, or a legal obligation;

  • Account information is retained while the account is active and for a reasonable period afterward;

  • Marketing preferences are retained until changed, and limited suppression records may be retained to honor an opt-out; and

  • Cookie and security-log retention depends on the relevant tool, risk, and configuration.

We may retain information longer when required by law, subject to a litigation hold, needed to investigate fraud or security incidents, or necessary to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims. When retention is no longer justified, we delete, deidentify, or securely dispose of the information consistent with our processes and legal obligations.

12. Your Privacy Rights and How to Exercise Them

Depending on where you live and subject to applicable exceptions, you may have the right to:

  • Confirm whether UnitReady processes your personal information;

  • Access personal information UnitReady maintains about you;

  • Correct inaccuracies;

  • Delete personal information provided by or obtained about you;

  • Obtain a portable copy of certain information;

  • Opt out of targeted advertising;

  • Opt out of the sale of personal information as defined by applicable law;

  • Opt out of profiling used to make decisions producing legal or similarly significant effects;

  • Limit certain uses or disclosures of sensitive personal information where applicable;

  • Withdraw consent for processing based on consent; and

  • Exercise rights without unlawful discrimination or retaliation.

UnitReady does not currently use personal information for profiling that makes decisions producing legal or similarly significant effects about consumers.

Submit a Request

You may submit a privacy request through either of these methods:

  1. Online: tryunitready.com/privacy-request

  2. Email: privacy@tryunitready.com

You do not need to create a new account to submit a request. Please describe the right you wish to exercise and provide enough information for us to locate relevant records and reasonably verify your identity. Depending on the request, we may ask you to confirm control of an email address or telephone number, provide account or transaction details, or complete another proportionate verification step. Do not send a Social Security number, full payment-card number, or government-identification document unless UnitReady specifically requests it through a secure method.

For deletion requests, we may retain information that applicable law permits or requires us to keep, including information needed to complete a transaction, provide requested Services, protect security, prevent fraud, maintain financial or legal records, exercise legal rights, or honor an opt-out.

Where the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act applies, UnitReady will respond to an authenticated request without undue delay and generally within 45 days. We may extend the response period by an additional 45 days when reasonably necessary and permitted by law, in which case we will explain the extension within the initial response period.

Authorized Agents

Where applicable law permits, an authorized agent may submit a request for you. We may require proof of the agent’s authority and may ask you to verify your identity or directly confirm that you authorized the request. A legally recognized universal opt-out signal may serve as an authorized-agent request for applicable opt-out rights.

Appeals

If UnitReady denies a privacy request in whole or in part, you may appeal by emailing privacy@tryunitready.com with the subject line “Privacy Appeal” within a reasonable period after the decision. Include the request number, if available, and explain why you believe the decision should be reconsidered.

We will respond to an appeal within the period required by applicable law and, where the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act applies, no later than 60 days after receiving the appeal. If an appeal under Texas law is denied, we will provide information about how to submit a privacy complaint to the Texas Attorney General. You may also visit texasattorneygeneral.gov/consumer-protection/file-consumer-complaint.

13. Security

UnitReady uses administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure. Safeguards may include access controls, authentication, role-based permissions, encryption where appropriate, logging, vendor review, confidentiality obligations, backup procedures, and security monitoring.

Access codes, lockbox information, and similar operational credentials are restricted to personnel or service providers with a work-related need. Clients should avoid placing access credentials in public form fields or ordinary email when an approved secure method is available and should deactivate or change temporary credentials after Services are completed when appropriate.

No system or transmission method is completely secure, and UnitReady cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for using unique credentials, protecting your account and devices, and promptly notifying us of suspected unauthorized access.

If UnitReady discovers a breach affecting personal information, it will investigate and provide legally required notices to affected individuals and regulators.

14. Deidentified and Aggregated Information

UnitReady may create and use aggregated or deidentified information for operations, forecasting, service improvement, pricing analysis, quality control, safety, reporting, and other lawful purposes. UnitReady will maintain deidentified information in deidentified form and will not attempt to reidentify it except where permitted by law to test or validate deidentification safeguards. We require recipients of deidentified information to comply with applicable restrictions.

15. Children’s Privacy

The Site and Services are intended for adults and business users and are not directed to children under 13. UnitReady does not knowingly collect personal information online directly from children under 13. If we learn that a child under 13 submitted personal information without legally sufficient parental authorization, we will take reasonable steps to delete it.

A parent or guardian who believes a child provided personal information may contact privacy@tryunitready.com. Clients should not submit resident files, photographs focused on children, or other children’s information unless it is reasonably necessary, lawfully authorized, and requested for the Services.

16. Third-Party Sites and Services

The Site may link to or integrate with third-party payment processors, maps, social networks, scheduling tools, communications providers, donation or disposal services, or other websites and services. Those parties control their own privacy practices. This Privacy Policy does not govern a third party’s independent collection or use of information, and you should review the third party’s privacy notice before providing information.

17. Changes to This Privacy Policy

UnitReady may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in law, technology, Services, vendors, or information practices. The “Last Updated” date identifies the current version. If a change materially affects how we use personal information, we will provide reasonable notice through the Site, client portal, email, or another appropriate method and obtain consent where required by law.
